There were some modest dives into specific studies but for the most part this book addresses the topic and the negative impacts from weak sleep at a higher level. That weaves together many of the common consensus coming of rest studies over the earlier decade. If you are new to the topic and are looking for a simple entry to the topic without being confused by stacks of medical jargon this is a good book for that., Helped me to see how little regard I got placed on getting a good night's rest..... Also provided recommendations for changes I could me. I feel wanting to use what I have learned out of this book to make some positive changes. Results so much have been promising. /, This book was incredibly informative. I truly enjoyed learning about the history of rest, the value of rest, and her tips and tricks for success. Right after reading this, I'm almost scared to get less than 8 hours a night hahaha.
I gave it 4 stars because while the research backing her statements is solid - its almost seemed too much. Every other word would refer back to a study, which inhibited the flow of the reading to me. Overall though, -absolutely worth a read!, Not really sure what I expected but it is not interesting to me. Maybe just me, but cannot recommend this guide., The book showed up punctually in good condition so as far as the logistics, this was a good experience. The book is interesting and helpful for those that know little about sleep hygiene and how that might right it. It spends lots of time discussing that sleep is a problem. Given the size of the book, I was expecting more detail but maybe for the general public that are not sleep well, it is a good read. It really does have good recommendations., Exciting read and great review to most things relevant to sleep.
