Lesson 3: Measuring

Currently, measuring function just work when molecules or selected parts are in Ball-stick or Overlap Sphere viewing modes, because the modes shows all atoms.

3.1 Bond distance

Click on this icon then click on two atoms, the distance between them will appear.

This is the result of distance in Ball and Stick Mode:

Just changing the graphics mode to Overlap Sphere shows the following:

3.2 Angles

Click on this icon then click on three atoms then you’ll see angle degree

3.3 Dihedral Angle

Similarly, Click on this icon then click on four atoms. See below picture as an example. The picked atoms are shown in purple at the center.

If you cannot the result of angle which is written in the top right corner of the scene, expand the main window border to right then it will be seen.

Finally, to clear all bond lengths, angles and dihedrals just click on this icon

Lesson 4: Save and Print image

4.1 Save image

Click to File -> Save Image to File. Your file will have JPEG format

4.2 Print image

Click to Print button on toolbar.
